SOLUTIONS Joins the Global Compact Network

Our business creates value for our clients while also respecting our environment.

Solutions shares the values and ethics set forth by the United Nations Global Compact Network and is committed to continuously aligning its operations and strategies with the universally accepted principles advocated by the Global Compact. We believe that these principles are essential to the emergence and development of fair, prosperous, and dynamic communities.

According to the UN Global Compact, these principles cover human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption and are outlined below:

Human Rights
·         Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses. 

Labor
·         Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining; the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labor; the effective abolition of child labor; and the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation. 

The Environment
·         Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges; undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.  

The Fight against Corruption
·         Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.

After the devastating earthquake of 2010, our commitment to these principles was put to the test. With over 300,000 killed, our country was devastated. Not only did the disaster and its aftermath disrupt operations, our employees and their families were directly affected. Despite the hardship, we emerged stronger in our beliefs and more determined than ever to adhere to these principles. We immediately put our talents to work, developing a crisis management solution that allowed Haitians affected by the earthquake to communicate their needs to the humanitarian organizations.

We’ve also developed a platform to mobilize society to fight violence against women, have awarded numerous scholarships to children, provided hardware and Internet access to schools and orphanages, and continuously give back to the community.

Founded in a nation that has struggled against adversity for generations, we firmly believe that by running our company responsibly and following these guiding principles, we can make a profound difference for future generations.
